Dimensional Imaging has recently developed advanced software to perform optical flow based tracking of feature points through a video sequence. This software has been designed to be used in conjunction with the Company’s ground-breaking 4D surface image capture system, to allow landmarks to be placed manually on one frame of a captured 4D sequence and then tracked automatically through the rest of the sequence. Alternatively if a template mesh is conformed to one frame in a captured 4D sequence, it can then be tracked automatically through the whole sequence to achieve facial performance capture.
