After completing the 4D capture process, an arbitrary polygon template mesh is conformed manually to selected frames of the captured sequence and tracked automatically through the rest of the sequence. The result is a sequence of polygon meshes each with exactly the same mesh topology and vertex order as the original template mesh, but with the 3D shape of the captured facial performance.
